Dairy and Food Plants

Schreiber Foods - West

Midwest Builders, Inc. has completed numerous construction projects over many years at Schreiber Foods’ Richland Center, Wisconsin facility, supporting ongoing operational needs, process improvements, and facility upgrades. Our work has included a variety of interior renovations, cooler modifications, tank room and CIP expansions, utility coordination, and process-support construction within active dairy processing environments.

Schreiber Foods - East

Midwest Builders, Inc. has completed multiple construction projects over several years at Schreiber Foods’ East Facility in Richland Center, Wisconsin, supporting production expansion, infrastructure upgrades, and long-term operational needs. Notable projects have included a Line 6 production expansion, boiler room improvements, and work at an associated partner facility, all performed within active dairy processing environments.

Meister Cheese

Midwest Builders, Inc. has completed numerous construction projects over many years at the Meister Cheese Company facility in Muscoda, Wisconsin, supporting ongoing plant operations, production growth, and facility modernization. Our work has included a wide range of additions, renovations, and process-support projects, including cooler and mezzanine modifications, door replacements, floor and wall upgrades, silo work, wastewater treatment improvements, and multiple plant additions.

Projects have involved food-grade construction, coordination with active production areas, and frequent work within occupied and operational spaces. Scope has ranged from small targeted improvements to major expansions such as intake, silo alley, UF, warehouse additions, and past facility additions.

V&V Supremo

Midwest Builders, Inc. served as the construction manager for a major production expansion at V&V Supremo’s Arena, Wisconsin cheese manufacturing facility. The project included approximately 14,700 square feet of new construction, consisting of milk and whey intake areas, vat rooms, brine and silo rooms, utility spaces, and a mezzanine level with equipment platforms and process support areas. The work was completed within an active food processing environment and required extensive coordination with ongoing plant operations, process piping, utilities, and food-grade construction requirements. The scope also included silo foundations, process waste infrastructure, stormwater management, site improvements, and future expansion accommodations to support long-term plant growth.

Fairfield Specialty Eggs – Dry Storage & Office Expansion

Midwest Builders, Inc. served as the general contractor for Fairfield Specialty Eggs’ multi-phase dry storage and office expansion at their Muscoda, Wisconsin facility. The project included approximately 29,900 square feet of new construction, consisting of a large dry storage addition with new loading dock capabilities, along with a multi-level office expansion featuring administrative offices, meeting spaces, and support areas.

Lactalis USA

Over multiple phases, Midwest Builders has completed a 19,090 square foot warehouse expansion in 2024, curing room expansions totaling approximately 10,000 square feet in 2020 and 2023, and a 1,455 square foot boiler room addition in 2022 to support expanded processing and mechanical systems. Beyond these building additions, our team has completed numerous interior process expansions throughout the existing facility, carefully coordinating construction with ongoing cheese production to minimize downtime for the customer.
